Stay home, David Shukman of the BBC!

The Galapagos Islands are under threat from mass tourism and climate change, says David Shukman, reporting from them for the BBC’s Today Programme this morning.
Mr Shukman has form as the voice of the BBC’s environmental anxiety about faraway fragile island habitats. Wouldn’t it be brilliant if he worked out ways to report on such matters whilst staying at home? Wouldn’t that be the kind of response the Corporation could be making?
