Has to be brief today folks. I have no bike today and I’m having to depend on public transport to get to the Foreign Office. Everything is taking ten times longer than on two wheels. Foreign Secretary William Hague will not make the lead story I suspect but on the heels of former Soviet Union leader Mr Gorbachev warning NATO that victory in Afghanistan is impossible and the British Chief of the Defence Staff (outgoing) Air Chief Marshal Sir Jock Stirrup criticising the mess there, Mr Hague has made himself available.
