SKN’s 1924 World Map
Stanley Kennedy North did a spirited world map for Thomas Cook’s travel agency in 1924. It is in the same vein as the work of MacDonald “Max” Gill in the 1940s.
Here, using FWDesign’s Mega Zoomer plugin for WordPress, is a zoom-and-pan version of the printed map. I will add some explanatory “pins” in time. Meantime please don’t expect SKN’s jollities to be PC by 2019’s picky standards. SKN was a liberal-minded, leftie, peace-loving, folk music and dance, organic pioneering sort of a person. But larky.
NB please note that the image works best at full screen: see the usual icon at far right of the “slider” bar beneath the image.
